“Home Fire” by Kamila Shamsie

Wow. Friendship, love, family, betrayal, prejudice, politics and stereotypes. Told from multiple perspectives this story kept picking up speed until it came crashing to a heart-stopping end that left me sitting stunned with the book in my hands. This isn’t a novel I would have chosen on my own but it was the first book club pick for a brand new bookstore that just opened down the street. Can’t wait for the discussion.
